Privacy policy

What we do with the data of the people who contact us, written in plain English.

Última atualização:

  • Who handles your data

    The personal data collected through this site is handled by Home Technology Designers, at Rua S. João Batista, 1181 R/C, 4805-622 S. João de Ponte, Guimarães.

    For any question about this policy or about your data, write to or call info@home-tec.pt.

  • What data we collect

    We only collect what is needed to answer the people who come to us. Specifically:

    • the data you enter in the contact form: name, email, telephone and the message;
    • your email address, when you subscribe to the newsletter;
    • technical browsing data collected by the hosting provider to keep the site running and secure, such as the IP address and the type of browser.

    We do not collect special categories of data and we do not ask you for anything that is not needed in order to get back to you.

  • What we use it for

    The form data is used to answer your request, prepare a proposal and follow the project through, if there is one. The newsletter email address is used only to send you news about the field we work in.

    We do not use your data for automated decision-making or for profiling, and we do not sell it to anyone.

  • On what basis

    Processing the form data rests on the pre-contractual steps you asked for by contacting us. Sending the newsletter rests on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. The technical data rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.

  • Who it is shared with

    We work with providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

    • the site's hosting provider, which serves the pages and keeps technical logs;
    • the contact management and newsletter platform, where the requests you send us are stored;
    • where applicable, the company's email service.

    Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases we require appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

  • For how long

    Contact requests are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and, after that, for as long as is needed to meet legal obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until the subscription is cancelled. Technical logs are deleted by the hosting provider after short periods.

  • Your rights

    At any time you may ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict the processing, object to it, or receive it in a format you can take with you. You may also withdraw your consent for the newsletter without that affecting what was sent before.

    To exercise any of these rights, simply write to info@home-tec.pt.

    If you believe your data is not being handled as it should be, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, the Portuguese data protection authority.

  • Cookies

    No page on this site sets a cookie in your browser. Verified on 1 September 2026 against the production response, on the home page and on the contact page: not a single Set-Cookie header. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and today no audience measurement at all. The only cookie the code ever writes belongs to the restricted content administration area, which requires an account, and it lasts ten minutes. Once the site moves to its final address, visits will be counted with a tool that uses no cookies and does not identify you, and that will not make consent necessary.

  • Changes to this policy

    If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with the update date changed. The version published here is always the one that applies.
