Who we are

Every home has its own personality.

Home Technology Designers is a brand of Grupo TIG (Technology Innovation Group). We design and integrate bespoke technology in private homes and on boats, in Portugal and beyond.

We listen, we understand, and we design technology that fits that particular world. Discreet where it should be discreet. Present where it makes a difference.

The blinds rise in the morning, the temperature is already right, the music follows whoever moves between rooms. For a day to run like that, we come in early, alongside the other trades, and we stay after the building work ends.

Morning
The morning starts before you do.
The blinds rise, the temperature is already right, the lights wake up slowly. Lighting, audio, climate, security and access, all centralised in one platform, completely adapted to the way you live.
Mid-morning
The house comes alive.
A playlist that sets the tone for a dinner with friends. Music that moves from room to room without you having to think about it. Built in and invisible, or a statement design piece.
Afternoon
The afternoon invites you outside.
Terraces, pools, gardens and leisure areas with sound built for the outdoors, and televisions with brightness that adapts to natural light. Some speakers blend into the vegetation and others become a design element in their own right.
Night
The night calls for something more.
A dedicated room, designed from scratch with Palazzo Theatre, or a cinema that reveals itself in the living room when you want it and disappears when you don't. No construction, no aesthetic compromises.

The job is decided before it exists
What runs through each wall, what each room needs to carry, where the rack lives: it is all decided months before anyone switches anything on. That is what separates a house that was prepared from a house that was patched, and afterwards none of it is visible.

A home does not have four remotes
Lighting, audio, climate, security and access in one platform. Installed by separate teams, each area brings its own app and its own remote; designed together, the house answers to a single touch and a scene like "Good night" becomes one thing.

We work with twelve manufacturers, not with a catalogue. It is a deliberate limit: you only know in depth what you install every day, and that knowledge is what shows years later.

Nobody buys sound from a spec sheet
In the showroom the systems are installed and running: you can hear them, see them, use them. A list of specifications will not tell two pieces of equipment apart when one costs twice the other, and five minutes of listening will.
