Home Technology Designers and Albino Miranda: the perfect alliance

“Our technological potential alongside your art.” The line opened the conversation with the artist Albino Miranda, and a friendship became a working alliance as well.

What it allows are projects that would not otherwise exist: the ornamental beauty of his pieces and the technology of Home Technology Designers in the same object. Building speakers into the pieces is the most direct way of putting it — decoration and technology stop being two things that coexist and become one.

Albino Miranda was born in 1967 and is known for the inventiveness of his work. In 1989 he founded Albino Miranda Lda., offering design and technical support in ornamentation, production and finishing. In 2009 he launched Karpa, a furniture brand in glass-fibre reinforced resin with luxury finishes, and in 2015 he presented GANSK, a line of glass-fibre outdoor furniture with a light, elegant design.
