The future of home automation, as Home Technology Designers sees it

Vítor Mendes, CEO of Home Technology Designers, was this week's guest on “Conversa Com”, ahead of the Smart Home Show.

In a lively conversation, the CEO spoke about his passion for the field and about the brand's ability to develop fully bespoke solutions for each client, fitting the technology to the reality of the project and to the client's way of living. The brand's view is that home automation is a great deal more than “a set of functions behind a switch” or a collection of gadgets that mostly work badly; it brings real advantages, for work as much as for rest and entertainment. A technology that need not be expensive, and that ought to be part of a home in the way electricity is.

These are benefits consumers are beginning to recognise as needs, which is why construction and property companies should be more aware of this shift.

Turning the conversation elsewhere, there was also time to talk about the current situation around the world, the country's future, and the things people most want to do once the pandemic is under control.
